We are looking for a high-caliber candidate to fill the following position:

Senior Interaction Designer - Hong Kong

Description

The Senior Interaction Designer will be responsible for creating a high quality user experience on large-scale web-based applications, working closely with technical teams, business analysts and designers. He or She will plan and conduct user research and design the overall look & feel of the Web sites.

Candidate should have:

  • 6 years + experience in Web Design Creative Direction for large-scale Web sites and preferably have some experience with other User Interfaces.
  • Sound knowledge of User-centered Design and usability principles.
  • Experience in User Requirements gathering techniques such as interviews/survey/card sorting.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual design, mental mapping, task flow diagraming and wireframe prototyping.
  • Strong Information Architecture skills.
  • Some technical background; understanding of content management systems and portal server applications preferably with hands-on experience in programming.
  • Strong creative and creative direction skills.
  • Strong HTML prototyping skills preferably with hands-on coding experience.

Tasks:

  • Plan and carry out user requirements gathering and user research exercises.
  • Analyze user requirements
  • Define Information Architecture and site maps.
  • Develop Web page layout templates in wireframes and HTML.
  • Oversee designs and implementations and ensure they are consistent with the overall look and feel.
  • Develop Design Guidelines.
